About Hospice Care Coverage
All-Heart's hospice care and services are 100% covered by Medicare through the Medicare Hospice Benefit. Coverage can also be obtained through Medicaid, Champus, as well as private health insurance plans. An All-Heart hospice care specialist can assist you in obtaining your specific coverage information.
In addition to hospice care and services, coverage also includes: durable medical equipment, medications related to the terminal illness, respite care, and short term inpatient care for symptom management that is unable to be accomplished in the home. Usually, speech therapy, physical therapy, and/or occupational therapy, are covered as well.
